1. Roll-on Roll-off (RO-RO) Shipping

RO-RO shipping services are available at multiple destinations, employing specially designed car carriers for secure overseas transport. Vehicles are shielded from the elements in sealed car decks, ensuring their safety. RO-RO shipping involves driving the cargo onto and off the vessel, making it an ideal choice for transporting tractors, cars, buses, trucks, or oversized cargo via lowboy or flatbed trailers.

2. Containerized Shipping (FCL & LCL)

Instead of using a Roll-on Roll-off (Ro/Ro) Service, an alternative approach involves transporting the vehicle in a shipping container. This method is typically employed for high-value vehicles, offering enhanced protection against environmental factors during transit. It becomes particularly advantageous when Ro/Ro Service is unavailable on the transport vessel or when the vehicle is non-operational and cannot be driven on or off the ship.

Customers can opt for exclusive or shared containers. Shared containers are cost-effective consolidated loads. Choose whether to have your vehicle picked up or bring it to our warehouse, and we’ll handle the rest.

Air Freight

When time is a critical factor, and you desire swift transportation for your car, air transport emerges as a compelling solution. In contrast to ocean shipping, which may span weeks, your vehicle is merely a flight away from its destination. It’s important to note, however, that customs clearance is still a requisite, potentially causing delays unless documentation is pre-cleared before departure and it may also entail a higher cost in comparison to maritime alternatives.

What do we offer?

In our commitment to prioritize the safety of your vehicle, we typically advocate for the use of a ‘Main deck’ freighter option. For vehicles of exceptional value or those requiring delicate handling, we extend the option of utilizing one of our specially crafted, reusable dedicated wooden flight crates. This choice guarantees the utmost safety for your vehicle throughout the entire transit process.

Determining Costs

LIONS AUTOMOTIVE calculates shipping costs based on multiple variables and choices made by customer including the size of a vehicle, category, and mode of transportation.

Car Shipping Process

• Drop-off or Pickup: Bring your vehicle to our warehouse or request pickup.
• Preparation and Loading: Our team will prep the car for loading including Fluid drain, Pallet loading & crating loads, or secure the vehicle in the shipping container for sea shipping.
• Transportation: The vehicle is taken to the port, cleared through customs, and loaded onto the plane/ vessel.
• Delivery: Upon reaching the destination, we handle customs clearance and either deliver the vehicle to the new residence or arrange for client pickup.

Necessary Documents & Requirements

• Copy of Passport(s) or government issued driver license.

• Original car title without liens or MSO/MCO
• Bill of Sale (letter of Lien Release from financial institution if vehicle bought on a loan)
• Export Power of Attorney (for a title not under LIONS AUTOMOTIVE)
• Insurance Form (for Private Insurance only)
• Vehicle with less than ¼ tank of gas
• A set of keys for the carrier to use during the shipment.
• No personal items inside the vehicle
• Your vehicle cannot be used as a shipping container for personal or household goods during international relocation, ensuring safety and security.
